Of the earth, fell into water and became a rock! The story of Peanutwood is that it is a variety of tree types that fell into a creek or river and moved to the ocean where shell fish bored holes in it. When the tree became waterlogged, full of holes, it sank to the ocean floor and the holes filled with silt and then the petrificaiton process began.
