Cancerian gemstones
In the season of the Zodiac sign of Cancer (June 21-July 22), I stumbled across a "great stone for Cancerians" . Lava! I was inspired to make my first piece with Lava from Iceland that I acquired on a trip to Reykjavik a few years back. When I think of the connection of Lava to Cancerians, it is the grounding, Mother Earth, home-is-where-the-hearth-is connection between them. Cancer people are creators of cozy. Lava is creator of earth!

While Ruby is the birthstone of July, the list of gems deemed beneficial for Cancerians in the first part of July are MANY!
Cancer is a correlating sign for Rainbow Moonstone and Pearl! New beginnings, safe travel and ancient wisdom are some qualities that can be yours with rainbow moonstone.
Focus, meditation and tranquility come your way with pearl. Just thinking about these qualities makes me wish I were a Cancerian!
Carnelian has been used in ancient times to protect the dead on their journey to the afterlife which has translated into allaying fears of death and uplifting the idea of rebirth and reincarnation. Carnelian brings peace and acceptance to the cycles of life. It is a fine stone for Cancerians.
Citrine, a protector from the negative vibes pointed toward you, can increase your self-esteem, self-confidence and developing and maintaining a positive attitude. “Attitude is everything!” I always say. It can also help in alleviating depression and anxiety.
Cancerians and Emerald are a very good combination. Emerald is said to promote friendship and equality among partners. It can provide loyalty and contentment. It is a stone of wisdom and purports to awaken the ability to see future events and reveal undisclosed meanings in situations.
Leopard Jasper, or Leopardskin Jasper, is ideal for those born under the sign of Cancer due to its ability to provide a stable foundation and encourage a light-hearted ability to have fun. Wait! Maybe this is a stone for ALL signs? Doesn’t everybody need this one?
Rhodonite and Rose Quartz have love in common. All pink stones are connected to the heart. Where rhodonite can help in recognizing co-dependency, rose quartz amplifies unconditional love, specifically self-love and compassion for the self.

Let’s wrap this up with the classic birthstone, Ruby, for you Cancerians. Ruby is powerfully connected to the heart. It is a healer of broken hearts and empowering to Cancerians to use their natural creative ways which will facilitate this healing, so they can revel in their preferred, emotional and profound conversations.
The ruby that I use in my designs is “Raw Ruby” which is wonderfully delightful in its apparent opacity, often with a star light that radiates from it and or a spider-web-esque shimmer that captivates in sunlight.
